A lifetime passion about fish

Arnie’s first job was at Jaffy’s Seafood shop in Mallaig, where he worked from the age of 11. He would often help out with customer service, stocking shelves, and cleaning fish. In the evenings, he would also work at the pier’s kipper factory. Arnie loved working with fish, and he soon developed a passion for seafood.

When he turned 15, he started on a variety of fishing boats, including scallop dredgers, trawlers and prawn boats. He always dreamed of owning his own seafood business, and finally made that dream a reality in 2018. Until early this year, Arnie’s shop was now a thriving business, and he plans to reopen in the near future, as soon as the new premises are ready.

For now, he operates his new food truck and his customers love the fresh, delicious seafood that Arnie provides, and he is proud to be able to bring them the best of the sea. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, Arnie is living his dream and doing what he loves.
